Description
A Collection of Volumes primarily in octavo format featuring various publisher cloth bindings. The group includes: Barham, Richard Harris (writing as Thomas Ingoldsby). The Ingoldsby Legends. London: J.M. Dent and Sons Ltd., green cloth with elaborate gilt-decorated spine; Two matched volumes of The Strand Magazine for 1896 (comprising January to June and July to December), London: George Newnes, brown pebbled-grain cloth with gilt-stamped titles; Sterne, Laurence. A Sentimental Journey Through France and Italy. London: Williams and Norgate, blue cloth; The Leisure Hour, 1892, teal cloth with embossed floral motifs and gilt lettering; and Everything Within. London: News Chronicle, dark textured cloth reference volume. No dust jackets are present.
Condition report:
Book: Mixed condition. Everything Within is in Poor condition with a significant tear at the base of the spine and compromised binding. The Strand Magazine volumes are in Good to Very Good condition with some rubbing to the pebbled grain and bumping to the corners. The Ingoldsby Legends and The Leisure Hour show general shelf wear, fading to the cloth, and bumping to the head and tail of the spines. A Sentimental Journey shows minor sunning and light edge wear.
