A Mixed Collection of Decorative Arts including Mason's Ironstone Imari Wares, Cut Glass, and a Brass Carriage Clock
Description
A varied collection of decorative ceramics, glassware, and metalware. The ceramic selection features several pieces of Mason’s Patent Ironstone China decorated in the traditional Imari palette of cobalt blue and iron red with floral motifs, alongside a hand-painted blue and white owl figurine and a porcelain penguin. Glassware includes a substantial clear cut-glass bowl with a serrated rim and deep mitre cuts, a ruffled clear glass dish, and a cobalt blue glass vessel with gilded highlights. Metalware comprises an ornate patinated copper-toned coffee pot of Middle Eastern form with an elongated spout, a small silver-plated dish, and a brass-cased carriage clock with a white dial and Roman numerals. Also included is a vintage yellow rectangular Gold Flake cigarette tin. The collection spans the late 19th to mid-20th century. Largest bowl approximately 25cm diameter; owl approximately 18cm height.
Condition report:
Items are in mixed condition. The metalware exhibits surface oxidation and tarnishing consistent with age, particularly to the copper-toned pot and brass clock case. The Mason\'s ironstone pieces show some minor wear to the gilded rims and light surface scratching. The cut-glass bowl has minor nibbles to the serrated rim. The carriage clock is sold as seen and is currently untested. The cigarette tin shows some paint loss and surface wear.
