A Mid-20th Century Queen Anne Style Mahogany Nest of Three Tables
Description
A matched set of three nesting tables crafted in the Queen Anne revival style, dating from the mid-20th century. The tables are constructed from a hardwood with a deep reddish-brown mahogany finish. Each rectangular top is detailed with a carved foliate border and contains a removable inset glass protector. The underframes consist of slender cabriole legs featuring carved acanthus leaf decoration to the knees, all terminating in classic pad feet. The set is designed to nest neatly together for space-saving storage. There are no visible maker’s marks or branding. Dimensions (Largest Table): H 56 cm x W 52 cm x D 38 cm.
Condition report:
The set is in good structural condition. The timber finish shows light signs of surface wear, including minor scratches and scuffs commensurate with age and use. The glass tops are free from significant chips or cracks. The joints are secure and the legs are stable.
