Lot 292: A Collection of Mid-Century Novelty Ceramic Figurines and Condiment Sets including McCoy and Fitz and Floyd Styles Category: Ceramics

A varied collection of mid-20th-century novelty ceramic items, primarily comprising moulded earthenware with hand-painted overglaze polychrome decoration. The assemblage includes anthropomorphic figures in floral-patterned attire, reminiscent of Mary’s Grandma and Grandpa Gardener series, alongside garden gnome characters and small animal studies. Notable condiment sets include a golf-themed decorative piece featuring oversized golf balls and a caddy, and multiple salt and pepper shaker pairs shaped as baskets of flowers and uniformed figures. The aesthetic is characteristic of mid-century kitsch and collectable pottery, with some pieces likely originating from American manufacturers such as McCoy or Japanese export houses like Fitz and Floyd. One item bears a lot tag numbered 2819. Items range in height from approximately 5 cm to 13 cm.
