Lot 172: Two Items Comprising Silver Inlaid Glove Stretchers and a Silver Overlay Spoon

A group of two vintage items consisting of a pair of silver inlaid glove stretchers and a silver overlay spoon. The glove stretchers are constructed from dark polished horn or ebony and feature a central silver-mounted oval plaque. This plaque is decorated with foliate engraving and bears British hallmarks for Sheffield, including the lion passant for sterling silver and a maker mark likely for G&A. The silver overlay spoon is fashioned from translucent yellow pressed horn and exhibits a tapered handle with decorative gilt-metal or silver overlay accents and a broad tined head showing natural tonal variations.
