Lot 283: Vintage Brass Coal Miner Figurine with Pickaxe and Lamp

A figural statuette cast in brass or a brass-toned metal, depicting a coal miner. The figure is posed heroically, wearing a work vest, trousers, and a hard hat fitted with a prominent headlamp. The miner’s right foot rests upon a tiered, rock-like base. The hands hold a cylindrical safety lamp and the handle of a pickaxe, the head of which is embedded in the base material. The statuette displays a uniform golden finish across the body and base, while the pickaxe head features a darker metal tone, likely intentionally patinated or composed of a different alloy. This piece is commonly identified in the market as a vintage brass coal miner sculpture. No manufacturer markings or inscriptions are visible.
