Lot 264: A Trio of NAO by Lladro Porcelain Figurines including April Showers Model 1126

This lot comprises three glazed porcelain figurines produced in the style associated with Spanish manufacturers such as NAO by Lladro. The central and primary piece is identified through market consensus as ‘April Showers’ (or ‘Spring Showers’), model number 1126, depicting a young girl in a ruffled white dress and a broad pink sun hat, holding a closed pink umbrella. This figure utilizes soft matte flesh tones for the skin, contrasting with high-gloss white for the dress and pastel accents for the hat and umbrella. The figure stands on a circular, integrated base. The accompanying pieces include a large single white duck figure standing on a small round base, which bears an auction sticker marked 9245 D. The third piece is a grouping of three smaller white ducks or goslings clustered near a tree stump, set upon an integrated light sage green base. All three pieces utilize a characteristic soft pastel color palette and are rendered in a sentimental style.
