Lot 196: A Mid-20th Century Enamel Fondue Set, a Collection of Decorative Thimbles, and a Ceramic Plate

This lot comprises an open-boxed 5-piece enamel fondue set, indicative of a mid-to-late 20th-century period, featuring black and wooden handles. The accompanying carton is illustrated in a folk art style. Also included is a wooden wall-mounted display shelf holding a collection of approximately 15-18 decorative thimbles, appearing to be ceramic or metal, with various patterns. A large, round ceramic decorative plate depicts a painted domestic scene featuring an older woman embroidering, observed by a younger woman and a child. Several stacked plain cardboard boxes, some bearing handwritten notations including “11/9/91” and “P2 POSTAGE PAID,” complete the lot. While not definitively attributed by visual matches, market keywords and price points suggest a potential association with Royal Doulton collector’s plates for the decorative plate.
