A Doulton Lambeth stoneware mug, circa 1895. This ceramic vessel features a tapered body and a sturdy handle. Its exterior is decorated with a relief-molded and glazed design characterized by a central band of off-white floral motifs with green and brown foliage, accented by raised blue dots, all set against a lighter green/khaki background. Darker blue/green glazed bands with similar blue dot accents adorn the top and bottom portions of the vessel. The unglazed interior and base reveal a reddish-brown earthenware or stoneware material. The base is impressed with the numbers “7353,” a circular maker’s mark depicting a figure or crest, and additional impressed characters including “PD” and “2”.
Approximately 17.5 cm (7 inches) in height.
