Lot 13: Border Fine Arts 'Halcyon Days' Limited Edition Kingfisher Group by R. Ayres

A Border Fine Arts ‘Halcyon Days’ limited edition sculpture by R. Ayres. This naturalistic decorative sculpture depicts a group of four vibrantly colored kingfisher birds in an aquatic setting. Three kingfishers are perched on a gnarled branch emerging from a pond, with one bird seemingly poised for flight or landing, while another smaller bird is near the water’s edge. The scene includes tall cattails, lily pads with small white flowers, and a blue dragonfly resting on a lily pad. The item is constructed from a composite material or resin, with some elements possibly of different mixed media, and is mounted on a base with a simulated dark wood finish. The marking “600/750” is visible inscribed on the base, indicating its limited edition status.
