Description
This collection of scripophily comprises several vintage stock certificates, zero-coupon guaranteed notes, and related corporate documents from various American corporations, primarily dating from the mid-20th century. Represented entities include The Atlantic Refining Company (incorporated in Pennsylvania), Beck Industries, Inc. (Delaware), United States Lines Company (New Jersey), Eurofund, Inc. (Maryland, bearing a diagonal overprint for Eurofund International, Inc.), Great Northern Nekoosa Corporation (Maine), Cities Service Company, and The Central Foundry Company. The documents feature a diverse array of detailed intaglio vignettes, including allegorical figures with globes, industrial machinery and labourers, factory landscapes, and a large ocean liner. Most certificates are issued for 100 shares or specific dollar denominations, with visible issue dates spanning from 1962 to 1973. The documents are printed with decorative borders in various colours, including green, red, blue, brown, and orange.
