A Collection of Wedgwood Bone China Birdwatcher's Notebook Decorative Plates
Description
A collection of Wedgwood bone china decorative plates from the Birdwatcher’s Notebook Collection, designed by artist Eric Robson for Danbury Mint. Each plate is manufactured from white bone china and features a scalloped rim. The decorative scheme consists of detailed transfer-printed illustrations of various British garden birds, presented in the style of a naturalist’s field diary. The central bird portraits are surrounded by secondary sketches and descriptive calligraphic text. Included designs feature birds such as The Goldfinch, The Blackbird, and the Robin, each accented with a colour-coded border. The reverse of each plate is marked with a comprehensive backstamp including the Danbury Mint name, the artist Eric Robson, the collection title, the Wedgwood Portland Vase logo, bone china, and Made in England. The plates also carry a printed warning stating they are for decorative purposes only and are not suitable for food use.
