Imperial German Kaiserlicher Automobil-Club (KAC) Membership Badge
Description
An Imperial German membership badge for the Kaiserlicher Automobil-Club (KAC), also known as the Imperial Automobile Club. The badge is of vertical oval form, struck in a silvered base metal alloy with multi-coloured glass enamel detailing. The central motif consists of a square shield quartered in black and white enamel, representing the arms of the House of Hohenzollern, positioned over a translucent red enamel field with a radiating sunburst pattern. This central element is enclosed within a symmetrical oval wreath of detailed oak leaves. The badge is surmounted by an Imperial German Crown (Kaiserkrone) and is finished at the base with a tied ribbon bow. The reverse is fitted with a horizontal pin-and-catch assembly. There are no visible maker’s marks, hallmarks, or serial numbers.
