A Collection of Assembled and Painted Plastic Model Aircraft Metal and Plastic
Description
A collection of assembled and painted plastic model aircraft representing various eras of military aviation. The group includes a modern Boeing C-17 Globemaster III in Royal Air Force livery, an Avro Vulcan delta-wing bomber, and a Hawker Siddeley Harrier V/STOL jet equipped with under-wing stores. World War II era subjects include a Hawker Hurricane with ZY-Y squadron markings and camouflaged finish, a twin-engine aircraft in the style of a De Havilland Mosquito, and a Fairey Swordfish biplane in a black finish carrying a torpedo. Earlier aviation is represented by a yellow De Havilland Tiger Moth and a World War I style scout biplane. A Hawker Hunter jet fighter is also included in the assortment. Several models are mounted on black plastic display stands. The items feature hand-painted finishes and applied decals including RAF roundels and historical identification codes. A small white label with the numerals 9703 is attached to the display shelf.
