A Charles C. Stadden Limited Edition Model No. 105 Scotland Forever Military Miniature Group
Description
A hand-painted white-metal military miniature group by Charles C. Stadden, identified as Model No. 105 titled Scotland Forever. The diorama depicts a legendary scene from the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, representing the charge of the Union Brigade. The composition features a trooper of the Royal North British Dragoons (The Scots Greys) mounted on a charging grey horse, wearing a red tunic with yellow facings and a distinctive black bearskin cap with a white plume. Accompanying the cavalryman is a soldier of the 92nd (Gordon Highlanders) Regiment of Foot, depicted holding the trooper’s stirrup leather to maintain pace during the charge. The Highlander is wearing a red tunic, feather bonnet, and a kilt in Gordon tartan. The figures are mounted on an integral, hand-painted scenic base textured to resemble grass and earth. A white paper tag with the handwritten inventory number 9703 is attached to the base.
