English 18th Century Oak Gateleg Drop Leaf Table
Description
An English gateleg drop-leaf table constructed from solid oak with a dark-stained finish. The table comprises a narrow fixed central section flanked by two semi-oval drop leaves, forming an oval surface when fully extended. The base is supported by six legs featuring ring and baluster turnings, joined by low-profile squared stretchers. Two of these legs are hinged gatelegs that swing out to support the drop leaves. The design is consistent with the Jacobean style, common in late 17th to 18th-century English furniture. No maker marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the frame or underside of the piece.
