Art Nouveau Pewter Card Tray with Nude Female Figure and Lily Pads
Description
An Art Nouveau pewter card tray . The tray is cast from a grey-toned pewter alloy and features a central relief-cast design of a nude female figure in a reclining pose. Her long, sinuous hair flows outwards to form part of the irregular, organic scalloped rim. To the right of the figure are three overlapping lily pad motifs. The ground of the dish is textured with concentric ripple lines, suggestive of water.
