George III Style Mahogany Four Drawer Chest
Description
A mahogany chest of drawers in the George III style. The rectangular top sits above a configuration of two short drawers and two long graduated drawers. The drawer fronts are decorated with inlaid boxwood stringing and are fitted with brass ring pulls on circular stamped backplates, with each drawer featuring a central brass escutcheon. The chest is raised on splayed bracket feet joined by a shaped apron. The primary wood is mahogany with light wood stringing; secondary woods and drawer construction are not visible. A small, illegible white label is affixed to the top surface.
