A French Louis XVI Style Mahogany and Brass Mounted Bouillotte Side Table
Description
A French Louis XVI style circular side table of bouillotte form. The drum-shaped body is finished in mahogany veneer and features an inset circular tan leather top. This top is enclosed by a pierced gilt-brass gallery. The body contains three drawers, each equipped with a single circular brass pull handle. The table is supported by three slender, tapering legs of square section. Decorative ormolu-style foliate mounts are applied to the knees of the legs, which terminate in brass sabots. A white rectangular inventory label marked with the digits 7719 is affixed to the front of the top drawer.
