Victorian Style Mahogany Davenport Desk
Description
A Victorian-style Davenport desk constructed from mahogany-toned hardwood. The piece features a slanted, hinged writing surface that opens to reveal a fitted interior containing a row of small drawers and an open storage compartment. The top edge is finished with a decoratively shaped gallery. The desk is supported at the front by two large, ornate carved cabriole-style scrolls. The right-hand side of the pedestal base is fitted with a bank of four drawers, each featuring two brass-tone swan-neck handles. The unit is mounted on a plinth base and supported by turned bun feet.
