19th Century English Elm and Ash Wheelback Windsor Armchair
Description
A 19th-century English Windsor armchair featuring a traditional wheelback design. The chair is constructed with a solid elm saddle seat displaying a prominent swirling grain pattern. The high hoop back and steam-bent armrests are supported by multiple spindles and a central vertical splat with a pierced wheel motif. The structure is supported by four turned legs reinforced with a central H-stretcher. The wood is finished in a warm medium-brown colour polish. A small white rectangular label is affixed to the left side of the back hoop.
