Continental Porcelain, A Collection of Three Figurines including an Orientalist Lamp Base
Description
A collection of three glazed ceramic figurines of varying styles. The lot includes a standing female figure in a colourful historical-style dress with a green bodice and floral-patterned cream skirt, reminiscent of German porcelain such as Lippelsdorf. Also included is a large Orientalist figural group featuring three figures, with the central figure holding a large fan; this piece is constructed as a figural lamp base with internal light sockets. The final piece is a small seated figure in a matching Orientalist cream and gold palette. No factory marks or model numbers are present. Standing figure height approximately 20 cm. Lamp base length approximately 30 cm. Small figure length approximately 13 cm.
Condition report:
The large Orientalist lamp base has sustained significant damage and shows heavy brown adhesive repairs and hairline cracks throughout the body. The internal electrical components are present but the external cord is missing; the item is sold as a decorative piece and requires professional testing if intended for use. The standing woman and small figure are in generally stable condition with minor surface wear.
