A modern reproduction mahogany semainier chest of seven drawers
Description
A modern reproduction Georgian-style narrow seven-drawer chest of drawers, also known as a semainier. The chest is constructed from mahogany and mahogany veneers, featuring a molded overhanging top over a bank of seven graduated drawers. Each drawer front is fitted with a central brass drop handle set on a decorative stamped backplate. The chest is raised on a bracket-style plinth base. The drawer linings are constructed using machine-cut dovetail joints. There are no visible maker’s marks, stamps, or labels on the exterior of the piece.
