Mid-Century Modern Teak and Ceramic Tile-Top Coffee Table
Description
A mid-century modern rectangular coffee table constructed with a teak frame. The top is inset with eight ceramic tiles, four of which feature a stylised botanical design of wheat stalks in earth tones of brown and ochre. The table incorporates a slatted lower shelf, suitable for use as a magazine rack, and is supported by four square-section legs. This piece is representative of British furniture design from the 1970s. A small white rectangular sticker is present on the front apron, but no maker’s marks or manufacturer labels are visible.
