Description

A collection of hand-painted metal military miniatures depicting British Line Infantry from the Napoleonic era, specifically the period of the Peninsular War and the Battle of Waterloo, circa 1812-1815. The figures are depicted in various active poses, including marching, advancing with fixed bayonets, and firing. The group includes two standard-bearers, or Ensigns, carrying the King’s Colour (Union Flag) and a yellow Regimental Colour. The infantrymen wear characteristic red tunics with white cross-belts and ‘Belgic’ or ‘Stovepipe’ shakos. One figure appears to be a variant, potentially representing a light infantryman or rifleman. Each figure is mounted on an individually textured and landscaped base. A white inventory sticker marked 9703 is attached to the base of one figure. The style and quality of the casting and painting are consistent with contemporary collector-grade manufacturers such as King and Country, W. Britain, or Frontline Figures.
