A Collection of Five Assembled and Painted 1/35 Scale Model WWII LRDG and SAS Desert Vehicles Plastic
Description
A collection of five plastic military model kits, professionally assembled and painted in 1/35 scale. This group depicts vehicles utilised by the Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) and the Special Air Service (SAS) during the North African campaign of the Second World War. The collection includes one large Chevrolet 30 cwt style truck, two heavily modified SAS jeeps fitted with multiple Vickers K machine guns, and two light military utility or scout vehicles, including a Daimler Dingo type. All models are finished in desert tan camouflage with extensive realistic weathering techniques including dust effects, paint chipping, and simulated sand accumulation. The largest vehicle features three crew figures in desert uniform, camouflage netting, fuel drums, and sand channels. The jeeps are depicted heavily laden with fuel and water jerry cans and various desert equipment. Registration number L461072 and unit marking FD1 are present as decals on the truck. A contemporary inventory label marked 9703 x 5 is adhered to the upper surface of the truck mudguard.
