A Set of Trophy Miniatures of Wales Hand-Painted Metal Toy Soldiers, 24th Regiment of Foot, Anglo-Zulu War
Description
A set of hand-painted metal toy soldiers by Trophy Miniatures of Wales, depicting the 24th Regiment of Foot (South Wales Borderers) during the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879. The figures are constructed from metal and finished in a traditional glossy style. The uniforms consist of red tunics with green facings on the collars and cuffs, white cross-belts, and dark trousers, topped with khaki foreign service pith helmets featuring puggarees. The collection includes an officer in a dynamic pose armed with a revolver, a soldier waving his pith helmet in a hurrah gesture while carrying a rifle with fixed bayonet, and infantrymen in various action poses. A detached side drum with regimental-style painted patterns is also included. A small white adhesive label with the handwritten number 9783 is affixed to the base of one figure.
