A Collection of J G Meakin Ceramic Tableware
Description
A collection of ceramic tableware by J G Meakin, featuring a cream-coloured glaze decorated with a stylised 1970s floral motif comprising orange and yellow flowers and stalks of grain, accented by concentric grey and dark bands at the rims. The group includes a tall lidded coffee pot, a smaller lidded jar, and multiple dinner plates, side plates, saucers, and teacups. The base of the pieces features an impressed circular mark with the text J G MEAKIN arched at the top and ENGLAND curved at the bottom, accompanied by a small green printed stamp of the number 19. A white adhesive inventory label from Shelbys Auctions reading 365 is applied to the surface of a dinner plate, and another white rectangular label reading 12698 is affixed to the lid of the coffee pot.
