A Collection of Oriental Style Resin Figurines
Description
A collection of Oriental style figurines, manufactured from cream-coloured moulded resin designed to simulate carved ivory or bone. The group includes a large female figure seated in a kimono, decorated with incised rose motifs and dark pigment accents. Also included are multiple representations of Hotei, the laughing Buddha, in various seated and standing positions. One prominent Hotei figure holds a rectangular plaque inscribed with the four characters 金玉滿堂. The figures feature detailed incised linework highlighted with dark pigment, with some smaller figures displaying pale blue and green decorative washes. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces of the figures.
