A Crown Devon Art Deco Style Coffee Set
Description
This English ceramic coffee set features a pale mint green glaze with gilt accents to the handles, rims, and finials. The collection consists of a tall, faceted coffee pot with a fitted lid, a milk jug, a sugar bowl, and multiple cups and saucers. The underside of the pieces features an English printed black backstamp comprising a crown device above the words ‘C R O W N . . . D E V O N’, ‘F I E L D I N G ‘ S’, and ‘E N G L A N D’. A hand-painted number in brown, ‘3181’, is also present on the base. Two white adhesive labels are attached to the coffee pot, one reading ‘SHELLYS AUCTIONEERS LOT 309’ and another with the handwritten number ‘12847’.
