An Assortment of Decorative Porcelain Vases including a Chinese Famille Rose Baluster Vase and an Italian Gilded Example
Description
An assortment of four decorative porcelain vases of varying origins. The collection includes a tall Chinese porcelain baluster vase with a flared, scalloped rim. The body is decorated with hand-painted landscape scenes depicting a figure in a traditional blue robe amidst trees and rockwork, with the neck and shoulder featuring pink diaper and scrolling floral borders. The base bears a red square character mark. Also included is a small footed Italian porcelain vase, heavily gilded with three circular reserve panels decorated with colourful floral sprays. The base features a printed backstamp with a crown motif and the text Florentine Porcellane Hand Made In Italy Ceramiche. The group is completed by a pair of white porcelain vases with globular bases and flared trumpet necks, each decorated with applied three-dimensional pink porcelain blossoms and green stems. No maker marks are visible on the pair, although one bears a modern inventory sticker.
