A vintage gold-toned bullion and green glass set costume belt
Description
A mid-20th-century decorative waist belt, likely intended for theatrical or operatic costume use. The piece is constructed from gold-toned metallic bullion thread woven in a distinctive checkerboard pattern. The central section is shaped into a wide diamond, embellished with two large oval-cut green glass cabochons and a regular grid of smaller circular green glass beads. The belt tapers toward the ends, which are similarly finished with green glass cabochons. The reverse features a reinforced fabric backing and is fitted with metal hook-and-eye fasteners at each end. A small white inventory label is present on the front bearing the handwritten number 12672 over 3.
