An Art Nouveau Style Figural Table Lamp with Frosted Glass Shade
Description
A figural table lamp designed in the Art Nouveau style. The lamp features a classically draped female figure in flowing robes, standing amongst stylised floral forms. The figure holds a stylised flower head in her right hand, while her left arm and a curved branch-like element form the support for the light fitting. It is fitted with a frosted glass shade in a tulip form with a ruffled rim. The base is irregularly shaped with a textured, ochre-toned finish mimicking stone. The lamp is constructed from a cast composite resin with a painted and patinated finish. It is fitted with modern wiring, including a white flex with an inline on/off switch and a black power cable. A small white rectangular sticker with the numbers 9226 is present on the front of the base. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
