A Collection of Commemorative Medallions and Tribute Coins
Description
An assortment of commemorative items including two bi-metallic medallions featuring colourised photographic portraits of Princess Diana in her wedding dress, set against a silver-coloured field with a gold-coloured rim and scrollwork borders. The collection also includes two gold-coloured tribute medallions: one in the style of a 1898 South African Republic 1 Pond featuring the national coat of arms and the motto EENDRAGT MAAKT MAGT, and another in the style of the US Augustus Saint-Gaudens Walking Liberty design inscribed LIBERTY. These items resemble modern numismatic tributes often marketed as being clad in 24 carat gold. All items are individually housed in clear plastic protective sleeves. One medallion bears a small white adhesive label with the handwritten number 9751.
