UK 2012 Titanic 100th Anniversary Medal Collection, 24ct Gold-Plated, Windsor Mint
Description
A collection of commemorative medals titled A Titanic Tribute, issued by the Windsor Mint to mark the centenary of the R.M.S. Titanic. The medals feature 24ct gold-plating and exhibit various finishes including colourised imagery, relief work, and a rectangular inset. Each medal is housed in a protective circular capsule. The set is presented in a rectangular wooden display case with a blue velvet-lined fitted interior. Documentation includes a Certificate of Ownership numbered 000549 and a Certificate of Authenticity numbered 00137, noting a limited edition of 1,912 collections worldwide. Accompanying facsimile ephemera includes a White Star Line third-class menu dated 14 April 1912 and an emigrant inland forwarding order.
