Description
A pair of 20th-century brass lantern-style mantel clocks of graduated sizes. The larger clock features an engraved brass dial marked Smiths at the twelve o’clock position and Made in Great Britain at the six o’clock position. The dial displays a central foliate pattern and Roman numeral hour markers. Its brass case is surmounted by a large bell within a domed frame, decorated with pierced dolphin frets and turned finials. The smaller clock is of matching form with a domed bell and dolphin fretwork, featuring an engraved dial with Roman numerals. Both items appear to be fitted with mechanical spring-driven movements.
