Description
An Arts and Crafts period earthenware candlestick designed by Harry Rhead, likely for Wardle and Co. The piece features a wide, undulating foot supporting a tall, ringed and ribbed central stem, terminating in a matching undulating drip pan and a simple nozzle. It is finished in a vibrant, mottled, and streaked green lead glaze. The underside of the foot bears the impressed mark H. RHEAD.
