A Collection of Vintage Maps, Street Atlases, and European Travel Ephemera
Description
This lot comprises an assortment of mid-20th century travel-related printed materials and souvenirs. The collection includes a Geographia street atlas titled Atlas of Leeds Outer Suburbs, Latest Revised Edition, featuring a green and cream softcover with an original printed price of 3/6. A triangular souvenir pennant for the Costa Blanca region of Spain is present, constructed from yellow felt and printed with a map showing locations including Altea, Benidorm, and Alicante, further illustrated with a lobster, fish, and a compass rose. Also included are various folded paper maps such as Planos Gerona and a blue and red pamphlet for France dating from the 1930s. The bulk of the lot consists of numerous other street guides, folding maps, and regional pamphlets, some of which are secured with rubber bands. The items are contained within a red plastic crate bearing an adhesive label numbered 4731.
