The group includes Beverley Nichols’ Down the Garden Path, published by Jonathan Cape in green cloth with gilt-lettered spine; Newnes Everything Within, published by George Newnes, in a blue pebble-grain cloth binding with gilt spine decoration; News Chronicle Golden Treasury, published by the News Chronicle, in an orange pebble-grain cloth binding; The Bedside Book of Discoveries from the Reader’s Digest Bedside Library, in cream cloth with a maroon title block; and The Standard Encyclopedia, bound in blue cloth. The volumes are in octavo (8vo) format.
