Vintage Style Decorative Metal Fire Engine Model
Description
A decorative model of a fire engine, constructed from painted metal, likely tinplate or pressed steel. The vehicle is finished in a traditional fire-engine red with gold-toned pinstriping and accents. It features an open-cab design with a steering wheel and a textured bench seat. To the side and rear, the model is equipped with two removable wooden ladders and a central hose reel with a coiled orange-coloured hose. The vehicle sits on four red-painted spoked wheels with black rubberised tyres. The construction and style are consistent with contemporary decorative handcrafted models made in a retro style, such as those produced by Berkeley Designs. On the driver’s side panel, there is a small white rectangular paper label with the handwritten digits 9721, likely a previous auction or stock reference. No manufacturer marks are visible.
