An Assortment of Vintage Tinplate and Cast Metal Toys
Description
An assortment of vintage and antique toys primarily constructed from lithographed tinplate and cast metal. The group includes a clockwork motorcycle and sidecar with lithographed decoration in red, yellow, and green. The motorcycle features a rider figure in a red jacket and yellow trousers, while a second figure sits in the sidecar. The front mudguard bears the lithographed number 1-804. Also present is a large tinplate railway passenger coach finished in a brown and cream livery. The collection further contains a miniature pink tinplate open-topped car with a driver figure, and a small cast metal toy sewing machine finished in black. A circular lithographed tinplate tray features a colourful illustration of a woman in a red and yellow dress dancing. Additionally, a quantity of small loose figures is contained within a blue box and two smaller nested cardboard and wooden boxes.
