Compton & Woodhouse Limited Edition Concorde 1976-2003 Celebration Bear
Description
A limited edition collectible teddy bear manufactured by Compton & Woodhouse to commemorate the operation of the Concorde supersonic airliner between 1976 and 2003. The bear is constructed from golden-brown mohair-style plush and features black eyes with an embroidered black nose and mouth. It is dressed in aviation-inspired attire including a white collar, dark navy blue shoulder epaulettes, and a dark navy blue tie featuring a small gold-tone Concorde aircraft emblem. The dark navy fabric foot pads are embroidered in gold-coloured thread; the left foot pad displays the text The Concorde 1976-2003 Celebration Bear, while the right foot pad is embroidered with the limited edition number 185 / 1976. The bear is accompanied by its original promotional flyer from Compton & Woodhouse, which features a Corgi logo and confirms the item as their first-ever Concorde Celebration Bear, produced in a limited edition of 1,976.
