Pratt & Whitney PT6 Jet Engine Turbine Rotor Blade Segment on Display Base
Description
An aviation memorabilia display piece featuring a segment of a turbine rotor blade assembly from a Pratt & Whitney PT6 engine. The metal component consists of several dark-coated blades joined by a curved, interlocking fir-tree root. The assembly is mounted onto a clear acrylic block base. Affixed to the front of the base is an embossed red plastic label that reads PRATT AND WHITNEY PT6 ROTOR BLADE. A smaller white paper label is also adhered to the acrylic, containing the handwritten numbers 6182. The metal retains a dark industrial finish consistent with its history as a decommissioned engine part.
