Three Antique Clocks and Cases including a French Louis XV Style Boulle Mantel Clock
Description
This lot features an assortment of horological items comprising a French Louis XV style Boulle mantel clock, a wooden bracket-style mantel clock, and an inlaid wooden clock case. The Boulle mantel clock is constructed with a red tortoiseshell effect ground and gilt-metal foliate scrolling inlay, further embellished with ornate gilt-metal mounts and scrolling feet. It features a white enamel dial with black Roman numerals. The bracket-style clock is housed in a stained wooden case with a pedimented top and stepped base, containing a circular light-coloured dial with black Arabic numerals and a single winding hole. The third item is a dark wood clock case decorated with lighter wood marquetry depicting floral and foliate sprays, featuring a circular aperture for a missing dial and movement. A small white rectangular sticker with the handwritten digits 6/82 is present on the front left. All movements are mechanical and have not been tested.
