A vintage sterling silver-handled multi-blade folding pocket knife, hallmarked for the Birmingham Assay Office in 1932. The knife features sterling silver scales decorated with a traditional engine-turned geometric pattern and a vacant rectangular cartouche. This silver knife is of multi-blade construction, likely containing two or three blades, although no blade is currently shown in the extended position. The silver scales are secured with visible rivets to the internal frame. The hallmark sequence on one handle scale includes the maker’s mark ZL, the lion passant for sterling silver purity, the anchor for Birmingham, and the date letter H for 1932.
