A Collection of Vintage and Antique Costume Jewellery Brooches and Decorative Miniatures
Description
This lot consists of a collection of vintage and antique costume jewellery brooches and small decorative items featuring various artistic techniques. The group includes several pieces of needlework and petit point embroidery, notably a large circular brooch depicting a cottage garden scene and a rectangular gilt-framed miniature with a blue floral motif. Other embroidered items include various floral sprays set in gilt and silver-tone metal frames. The collection also contains miniature landscape paintings, including an oval scene with a bridge and cottage and a smaller horizontal view of a garden archway. One circular gilt-metal brooch features a central cast relief medallion of a veiled female figure. A small circular brooch is decorated with a floral micro-mosaic formed from glass tesserae. Also included are porcelain-style brooches, one featuring a blue and white scenic design in the willow pattern style and others with floral motifs.
