Description
A collection of predominantly British Army Scottish Regiment cap badges, insignia, and accessories, professionally mounted on a green baize ground within a glazed gilt-moulded frame. The assortment includes white metal and brass badges for various regiments such as The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) featuring the Star of the Order of the Thistle and the motto Nemo Me Impune Lacessit; the Gordon Highlanders glengarry badge with a stag head and Bydand motto; and the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders central glengarry badge. Other notable insignia include the Waterloo Eagle of the Royal Scots Greys (2nd Dragoons), the circular badge of the Highland Light Infantry, the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders badge with St. Andrew Cross, and the Royal Scots (Lothian Regiment) badge. The collection also features insignia for the King’s Own Scottish Borderers, the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), and the Seaforth Highlanders. Also present are a Royal Scots Fusiliers exploding grenade cap badge, a fusilier grenade badge with an attached yellow hackle, a Gordons brass shoulder title, and various brass buttons and smaller collar badges.
