A Group of Hand-Painted Military Miniatures Depicting a British Royal Regiment of Foot, Napoleonic Wars
Description
A set of high-quality, hand-painted military miniatures depicting a British Army infantry regiment from the Napoleonic Wars period, circa 1812-1815. The figures are presented in a close-order marching formation on a textured diorama base representing a cobbled street. The group includes Ensigns carrying the King’s Colour (Union Flag) and a blue Regimental Colour, suggesting a Royal regiment such as the 1st Foot Guards. The contingent features officers and non-commissioned officers armed with swords and spontoons, alongside rank-and-file soldiers. All figures wear red coatees with blue facings, white crossbelts, grey trousers, and Belgic style shakos with decorative plates and plumes. The figures are professionally cast and finished with a matte paint. A white adhesive label with the handwritten number 9703 is present on the side of the base.
