Description
A rustic garden birdbath of cast stone or concrete construction, featuring a naturalistic faux-bois finish throughout. The piece is designed with a shallow, circular basin with an irregular, textured rim, supported by a central pedestal sculpted to mimic a weathered tree trunk, complete with knots and bark detailing. The base is similarly textured to resemble a stump. This piece reflects the mid-20th-century interest in organic, rustic garden ornaments. No maker’s marks are present. Dimensions: Approximately 50 cm height x 45 cm diameter.
Condition report:
The item shows signs of significant outdoor exposure consistent with age and use. Surface weathering is evident throughout, including ingrained dirt and minor discolouration.
