Three 19th Century Henriot Quimper Faience Plates
Description
Three 19th Century Henriot Quimper faience plates, crafted from Quimper. These small, round plates are characteristic of Quimper faience, featuring a creamy white glazed earthenware ground. Each plate is hand-painted in polychrome (red, green, blue, yellow, black) in a folk art style. The central motif on one plate depicts a female figure in traditional Breton costume, while the other features a male figure, both surrounded by stylized floral elements. A decorative border of concentric yellow bands and red dash patterns frames the central scene. Both items bear the black script marking ‘HR QUIMPER’ on the front, consistent with Henriot Quimper production.
